Uniqlo Paper no. 4

UNIQLO!

Uniqlo has to be my number one favorite store in the city right now. Reasonable prices, cool threads and chill outfits, its a welcome change from all the colorful kicks, tight Levi’s and hypebeast getups the “cool kids” are wearing on SoHo. Uniqlo is a Japanese retail store, and the SoHo store is the flagship, the only Uniqlo in the U.S. right now.
The anime tees are awesome; even though they are shows from the 60's-70’s, they are cheap and comfy. Careful buying the jeans. Make sure you read the labels, I ended up buying a pair of 70 dollar "super skinny's" I look like 2 broomsticks in them.
If you pass by, pick up an issue of Uniqlo Paper no. 4, its like a catalog of the new clothing season, interviews with artists, and amazing excerpts from books and essays about Japan, new York, and London. Great read when your on the L train just wasting time, on the cover is Tadanobu Asano from the vomit-inducing "Ichi the Killer" if you haven't seen the flick, I suggest you pick it up RIGHT NOW. And a pair of nipple clamps...also Chloe sevigny from Kids, another great movie.

I should be reading Milton right now, why am I typing in this blog....

and now..a 7 minute film....

so ive bought a few stuff while i was gone,

heres my lil tachikoma gashopon that i bougth a forbidden planet, drew some black lines on him to make it official :) oh yeaa

still watching Death Note, episode 25 was crazy!!!

also ive been stockign up on some manga books:
Ghost in the shell 2 : man machine interface - great art, almost 75% of the book is digitally illustraded, but that doesnt make up for the confusing plot, the best parts are the pages that are in black and white, really...

death note manga is getting pretty boring.. but i want to make it to the END!!!! they need to concentrate on my man Mello more, he's alot cooler.

Evangelion manga is out yet again!!!! yess , you know hwo Eva books come out every 2 years , big bummer , but good thing i jumped on the bandwagon while its going because these books are pretty good. I really like where they are going with Kaworu in this retelling of Evangelion.,

im going to plan my trip to japan pretty soon.. i see the money piling up and my dreams are getting closer and clooserrr :))) (fat smiley face)

PAPRIKA!!!!!!!

if you have a DS (in which i dont) then your in luck! because a death note game is coming! you have the choice of either picking L, the super detective, or Light Yagami, the man with the notebook...I hope they bring this to psp or something because I cant get enough.

the art is beautiful, and the music is action pumped!! check it:

IM LOVING THE HEAVY METAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

brand new work from Katsuhiro Otomo

He moves ladies and gentlemen! Katsuhiro Otomo, creator and director of AKIRA, and the producer of STEAMBOY designed the characters and the mechanics for the brand new 6 episode OVA anime entitled "FREEDOM"

theres a 6 minute trailer for Freedom,

and as you can see it resembles AKIRA in alot more ways than just the characters, the machines, the scenerey, even the vocational schools (DISCIPLINE!)

According to Wikipedia.org, "Freedom Project is about a child, Takeru, discovering a secret that could change the very society he depends upon. Civilization on the Earth was destroyed by a permanent abnormal climate shift. Cities of one-million people had been built on the moon and became the only place where humanity still survived. The remaining population declared the foundation of Republic Eden, then set forth expanding those lunar colonies that loved peace and freedom. However, one boy’s actions would later come to shake Eden’s peaceful existence..."

FMA Shambala....greatest Anime of 2006.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shambala was awesome. greatest thing to come out of 2006.

I love this moviee!!!! if you still havn't seen it, go pick it up. I hope they make a second movie though, FMA is too great a series to be over.
Al is the best

heres the best part of the movie (maybe spoilers):

some great NYC spots.

Recon is Awesome. they always have fresh kicks up on their walls, And whenever you hit SoHo, Nort Recon is a MUST. big ups to the staff (especially that one sexxy asian chick lol) for supplying me with those jordunks every 3 weeks :/
sometimes they're hesitant to help you out, but thats understandable, seeing as how they have so many people just hanging out in the store. TAKE THE 6 TRAIN TO BLEECKER ST. BIG RED BUILDIN WITH STAIRS, THATS ALL SHE WROTE.

forbidden Planet is another cool spot too for the Anime heads, it has all the Manga and Figures you might ever want. they have a great DVD catalog, but their prices are out of wack. 30 bucks for a movie doesn't sound just at all :/
big ups to the Staff for hooking me up with AKIRA graphic novels every 2 weeks lol!
L,N,Q,R,W,F,BLABLAH TRAINS TO UNION SQUARE, ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE MOVIE THEATRES.
