Night at the Art Studio

had a little gig last night, setting up and taking care of the essentials for a party in an Art Studio out in Manhattan.

the Artists had thousands of antique's in his apartment, so much history in one place.

The studio was an old piano depository at one point, this was the last one to remain. A musician actually started playing music off of this one.

Indian, African, African Aemrican, even Eastern inspired.

There was even a performance!

Graffiti contest at Blick art store, NYC

Blick art store was having a graffiti contest, the winner would get a $100 gift card , and they were raffling off a set of prisma markers, which I wanted but didn't get!

There were some cool guys, some kids from off the street who had no business doing there, and some cheaters using stencil art.




Luckily, We were allowed to take the used Canvases home. which was cool, especially fitting them into the J train.

Working on a Week in Tokyo book

hey, its been awhile. I figured since I have served my purpose (talk a little about NY, a little about Japan, make it cool, and blog it up) I could take some leisure time.

Well, I have some news, I am putting together a book (independently, through blurb.com) called Week In Tokyo. Just for myself, you can probably flip through it once it's up on blurb, but yeah it's about me in tokyo for 7 days and all the stuff I got into.
